Background of the Study

Health awareness is essential in addressing public health challenges, especially in rural and underserved areas. In Lafia LGA, Nasarawa State, public health issues such as maternal health, infectious diseases, and hygiene practices remain significant concerns. Media campaigns are an essential tool in disseminating health information, raising awareness, and influencing health behaviors. Local media outlets, including radio, television, and newspapers, have been used to educate the public on critical health matters. The role of media campaigns in promoting health awareness is pivotal in reaching a broader audience and empowering individuals to make informed health decisions (Ogunleye & Adeyemi, 2023). This study examines the impact of media campaigns on health awareness in Lafia LGA, focusing on the effectiveness of media-driven health education.
